The b code is showing butihave place new tires just last year. How do I remove the code?
I baby my 2013 four-cylinder EXL Accord. I change my oil right at 5000 miles and i’ll usually check the oil every time I fill my gas tank. I don’t mess around with these newer vehicles and the fact that they can burn oil easily and have high oil consumption issues. We never had those problems back in the day with the older accords using 5W 20 oil. If you ask me Honda and all these newer vehicles, really drop the ball right there.
As someone who owned Hondas for 30 years never ever ever let your Honda or any other car that you own go past 5000 miles regardless if you use full synthetic or conventional oil
do every 5k, don’t go by the computer.
If you 100% want your vehicle to last 5k on full synthetic, 30k on trans service, 80k on timing belt, 80k on cooling system flush. Get in the habit of cutting off the auto stop feature as soon as you crank up and before putting it in gear. This will save your battery and make it last twice if not three times as long. The VCM is not an issue in the newer models. No need to put a muzzler on these models. If you are purchasing an older used model it’s $150 well spent. Last but not least drive your vehicle with care. Make yourself a vehicle service fund and put $50 per payday in it and when service needs to happen or repairs you don’t have to let them go which will lead to worse problems. You can go to your fund and pay it with no worries. 😊
